After studying marketing at the University of Nebraska, Dacia Owens spent ten years at Verizon. As a senior marketing manager, she led nationwide campaigns across various media platforms. Her strengths in marketing strategy, leadership and community engagement include rebranding initiatives, fundraising and inspiring meaningful connections for organizational success. She joined the non-profit world in 2017 as President of the Magnolia Education Foundation (MEF) and leveraged her marketing expertise to help transform the organization through a successful rebranding, revitalizing its mission and fostering substantial community engagement and support.
Dacia’s “never met a stranger” passion for building relationships and networking shines in her effortless ability to connect people and finding the win-win opportunities in any situation. A resident of Magnolia since 2014, Dacia treasures family time with her husband and two children, who love participating in a variety of school activities. Her favorite ways to spend time with friends and family include listening to live music, traveling, dining and shopping.
